Don’t get so caught up seeing things as they are that you miss them as they could be: such is Michael Dockery’s mantra as he shapes the creative direction of MetaMythic. With a background in computer animation, illustration, graphic design, advertising, and writing, there are few problems he won’t creatively tackle.
As a Creative Director in the advertising industry he’s launched brands and multi-media campaigns for the likes of Hot Pockets®, Lean Cuisine®, Nestlé, Lipton®, Unilever®, McCain®, and even Deep Fried Twinkies® (you know you want one). He’s also spent over six years bringing design thinking and branding initiatives to the forefront in traditional enterprises; designing the user interfaces for multiple mission-critical software products. This dedication to craft and pursuit of deep concepts has led to his work being featured in multiple design and advertising awards publications.
Above all, he loves storytelling through picture and word, because it is his firm belief that the best way to reach someone’s brain is by stirring their heart. It is to this purpose, Mike gave form to the concept of the Applied Fiction method of learning and co-founded MetaMythic to help organizations transform their employees into the heroes they were meant to be.
